Spike's `Blue Mountain State' Scores Second Season Pickup
College Football-themed Series Averaging Nearly 1 Million Viewers

Spike TV's college football-themed series Blue Mountain State will stay on the field for a second season, the network announced Friday.
The men's targeted network has picked up an additional 13 episodes of the Lionsgate-produced freshman series. Blue Mountain State, which follows the on and off-field antics of incoming freshmen football players, has averaged 949,000 viewers viewers through its first six episodes while improving on the timeslot by 165% among men 18-24.
The series star Ed Marinaro (Hill Street Blues), Darin Brooks (Blue Crush) and Alan Ritchson (Smallville).
